I understand Preston fans won't be able to get home from Wembley after their playoff final on Sunday due to no trains by Virgin Trains.
They are sponsored by Virgin Trains

You understand wrong then, the train strike is from 5pm Monday.

Fucks up Boro and Norwich fans.

Thankfully we're going Friday morning and coming back after the game Sunday

Virgin East Coast plan to run a normal service until the early afternoon on Monday meaning those staying up Sunday night should be ok getting home

Re: virgin trains cancel all trains on Monday
I understand there are engineering works on the Sunday which inconvenience Preston fans and also Swindon fans.
The playoff game kicks off at 5.30 so that it doesn't clash with the Premiership so I think getting home is a problem if you want to go back to Preston that evening.
The strike doesn't affect them.
Though I never said it did.

Virgin are running trains at 2030 & 2110 to Preston

Fucked if it's extra time I guess unless the OB hold the trains

Must be hard driving a train, press a button off you go, press a button and it brakes. Worth at least £40k a year.

The staff can always work elsewhere. They knew the pay when they took the job.

Re: virgin trains cancel all trains on Monday
This isn't actually anything to do with the train operating companies like Virgin, it's Network Rail which is basically a public company and to think, people actually want the whole system in the public hands.
